SCHOOL INITIATORY PROGRAMME

    INTRODUCTION                                                             School visiting programme of teacher education is a major programme in the curriculum of BEd.It helps the teacher Trainees to get a great exposure to natural environment.It helps them to understand the difficulties and possibilities in teaching as well as the nature of students.                                                              We a group of nine members opted for Pallithura HSS to know and understand and observe all aspects of a school.Headmistress and other staffs welcomed us with great pleasure and provided all the facilities for us.                    OBJECTIVES OF THE VISIT                          * To get primary experience about the            activities of the school                                 *  To observe the model Classes of the           teachers specially related subject.           *  To collect informations that related the       school and its infrastructure and                   fecilities.                                                       *  To engage ourselves with the students and observe them.

In the early days, the schools were run under the leadership of the parish church.It was the Christian missionaries who took the initiative to establish schools here.Classes one and two were started in the Thatched Shed in1866 during the reign of Lord William Bentick.During the reign of Sree Mookam Thirunal,it was upgraded to class IV in 1902 and in May 1962 it was upgraded to Upper Primary School.                                                      The foundation stone was laid by the Venerable Fr.M.Joseph. Although it is a Christian institution, students of all faiths study here. When ISRO was founded in1962,it was widely praised that Bishop Peter Bernard Perera had handed over the site.Subsequently,a section of the people in Pallithura were evicted.Then the District Collector Shri.K.Madhavan Nair's permission was granted to upgrade the school to a High school in 1964.

WEEKLY TEACHING PRACTICE REPORT

THIRD WEEK TEACHING PRACTICE REPORT (18/07/2022 to 22/07/2022)            The third week of my teaching practice was completed successfully. Every day in the school start with prayer followed by pledge and thoughts of the day. I had class in standard IX C and VII C. Most of the students were very enthusiastic and attentive in listening the class,doing group activities and completing the related learning activities. The students who were weak in study and attention in the class managed them with my motivation and teaching learning aids teaching learning techniques.             I had free hours to go to other classes to interact with the students and maintain the discipline of the classes. Alternatively I went to Noon meals section to serve food for students. SECOND PHASE TEACHING PRACTICE

DAY -21            On Friday 05/08/2022 the day started with prayer. I had class in standard IX C and the students were very attentive in the class. Our teachers visited us and observed our classes and gave instructions and corrections about our classes.
